Malta – Official BU Euro Coin Set 2013

The Central Bank of Malta has issued a new euro coin set dated 2013, incorporating the eight Maltese euro coins, designed by Noel Galea Bason. The set also includes a 2 Euro commemorative coin, commemorating the 1921 constitution granting self-government to Malta. This coin was designed by Ganni Bonnici and is the third in a series of five coins, commemorating Malta’s constitutional history. All the coins were struck at the Royal Dutch Mint.

The set also includes a replica coin from the Byzantine period and is packed in a distinctive presentation box. The minting is limited to 35,000 sets.

Mykonos is a Greek island, part of the Cyclades, also known nowadays as the Island of the Winds. Historically it has been inhabited by Carians, followed by Ancient Egyptians, Phoenicians, Cretans and Ionians. In ancient times, Mykonos, due to its proximity to the then highly populated island of Delos, became very important as a supply island and possibly as a getaway location for Delian citizens. Issue of the 2013 collector set of Cyprus euro coins

The Central Bank of Cyprus has recently announced the issue of a set of Cyprus euro coins in brilliant uncirculated condition and mint year 2013.
It will be the fourth in the series of Cyprus euro coin sets dedicated to the mosaics of Paphos, which are included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
